Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.   Romans 12:3-8

Welcome to the Douglas United Methodist Church website. Our prayer is that this website will serve as a tool to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission of Douglas United Methodist Church is to:
  • Make disciples for Jesus Christ
  • Equip those disciples that they may go out into the world to share the Gospel
  • Gather for worship and celebrate the love, mercy, and grace of God
Please tour our site to find out more about Douglas United Methodist Church and how we can serve you. If you are interested in becoming a member of our church, please contact or talk to me or a church member. You can also complete the on-line form in the "Contact Us" portion of this website.  PLAN
Many people feel they have made so many mistakes that if God ever had a plan for them, it must be spoiled. But God does not give up on us. God has more than one way to give us hope and a future. Not only does God have more than one plan; God is at work to fulfill those plans.

Matthew 22:37–39 NKJV

Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

Love always leaves a significant mark.

"Christianity is NOT a philosophy...it is a way of life."

Our problem with reaching the world is that we've made
rules more important than relationships.      E. Stanley Jones

Don't ever forget the high calling that Jesus has given to you!

Do what's right, be kind, and walk humbly with the Lord.
